Machine Types & Preventative Maintenance Setup

The "Machine Types & Preventative Maintenance" page can be used to set up categories for your company's machines, as well as their default set of preventative maintenance checks. A Machine Type's maintenance checks will be automatically applied to any machine assigned to that machine type.

Click the Add Type button to create a new machine type. Use the drop-down arrow on the left side of a Machine Type row to expand it and to Add preventative maintenance checks.

Section in Manual
Instructions for looking up the section of a manual covering the maintenance check.

Check Description
Description of the maintenance check to be performed.

Documents
Uploaded documentation pertaining to the maintenance check (e.g., detailed instructions). Click the "Select Files..." button, or drag and drop one or more files into this section to upload documents.

Frequency
Frequency of the maintenance check, in days.

Assigned To
User, department, or work center responsible for the maintenance check.
