eSource Over-Inspect Setup
If the "Enable Over-Inspect Feature" option is marked on the eSource Preferences page, then an "Over-Inspect" section will become available on all inspection records created by or for your suppliers, and the configuration options on the eSource Over-Inspect Setup page will become available.
The Over-Inspect section of an IR is used to provide detailed part inspection data. Before an IR is submitted, feature requirements and results must be entered in this section. Characteristics may be automatically imported to an IR from previously completed FAIRs having the same part number, or from such FAIRs' linked subassembly and detail FAIRs.
Number of Required Over-inspect Char.
The number of Over-Inspect characteristics that must be provided prior to submitting the IR.
"Out of Tolerance" Percentage
The percentage of tolerance at which a characteristic's result will be considered nonconforming.
Require Mitigation Plan
If marked, a mitigation plan must be attached prior to IR submission if a result is close to nonconforming.
Require Non Conformance Number
If marked, a Nonconformance Number must be entered for all nonconforming results.
No Exception is generated when Mitigation Plan is provided
If marked, the IR will not require manual review after submission if a mitigation plan is attached.
No Exception is generated when NCN is provided
If marked, the IR will not require manual review after submission if a nonconformance number is entered.
Lot Conditions
Allows customization of the number of measured parts required for a given Lot Quantity.
The number of Results that must be provided for each characteristic on the Over-Inspect page is determined using this table. For example, if a row on this table contains the following values...
Lot Quantity Minimum | Lot Quantity Maximum | Inspection Quantity |
5 | 12 | 2 |
...then this means that two results must be entered for each characteristic if the entered Lot Quantity is anywhere between 5 and 12.
Reasons for rejecting the selected Over-inspect Char.
If an automatically selected Over-Inspect characteristic is removed from an IR, then the user must select a Reason from the options entered here.
