Dashboard
The Dashboard provides a summary of the data available and accessible to you within your company's Net-Inspect account.
The sections of the page containing data and information, called "Widgets", can be moved and customized (see #7 below).
1. Net-Inspect Logo
- Clicking the Net-Inspect logo on any page will take you back to the Dashboard.
2. Application Selection Icon
- Click this icon to see any additional applications that you have access to.
3. Main menu
- Click an option on the main menu to open its sub-menu. Clicking a sub-menu option will open its page.
4. Search
- Enter a parameter to search throughout Net-Inspect for related data.
- For instance, by entering a part number, you can directly select a FAIR, inspection plan, etc.
5. Setup
- Clicking the Setup button will display Setup and Administration functions, such as Company Setup and User Management.
6. Profile menu
- Click your name in the top-right of any page to display options for updating your account preferences or viewing Tasks assigned to you. You can also send feedback or log out of Net-Inspect through this menu.
7. Edit Dashboard
- By selecting this feature, you can add or remove "widgets" from your Dashboard.
- Saved Custom Reports - view saved custom Inspection Reports under the Quality Management solution
- To-Do List - displays records a user has been “Assigned To”
- Upcoming Tasks - displays "Tasks" the user has been assigned to (Under the Workflows/Tasks) tab
- User Activity - only visible to set-up administrators
Chart Widgets
Although these charts are static (or pre-configured), you can select any bar to take you directly to the list page filtered for the data selected.
8. Implementation Guide
- This widget can be used to provide instructions to suppliers and internal users.
- Be sure to check here for instructions provided by your customers.
9. Help Desk
- This Widget allows the user to search the Knowledgebase for information on how to use the system.
- In addition, requests can be submitted to the Net-Inspect Helpdesk here.
10. Favorite Pages
- On any page in Net-Inspect, you can click your profile menu (see #6 above) and choose the "Add page to NI Favorites" option to add a link to this page to your "Favorite Pages" widget.
- This link is saved here until you choose to remove it, so you can use it to quickly navigate to pages that you use often.
- This option is useful for saving the filters you've applied to "list" pages. For example, if you change the Date Range filter on the View Internal First Articles page to "All" and then save the report as a Favorite, then this filter will be applied to the page automatically if you open it through your list of Favorite Pages.
