Divisions
Divisions help differentiate a company by facility or location.
Users, parts, and certain part-related reports can be assigned to a Division. Access to technical data can optionally be controlled on the basis of this field. Some records available in Net-Inspect (such as FAIRs) can be sent to and from particular Divisions.
See Editing a User for more information on how to align a user with Divisions.
Division - Name of the division, often reflecting the name and/or location of a facility or other business unit.
First Article Workflow - FAIR Workflow associated with the Division. This workflow will be automatically added to any FAIRs created by your company that are assigned to this Division. (If multiple workflows are applicable to the FAIR, then your company's Workflow Priority settings will be used to determine which workflow to add.)
eTag Workflow - eTag Workflow associated with the Division. This workflow will be automatically added to an eTag created by your company when the Division is selected as the eTag's "From Division". (If multiple workflows are applicable to the eTag, then your company's Workflow Priority settings will be used to determine which workflow to add.)
Required Checklist - If enabled, allows a FAIR Checklist to be defined for the Division.
Division Groups - Allows multiple divisions to be linked together based on a common Group. Some Net-Inspect reports and charts can be filtered on the basis of the Division Group(s) that a record's "To Division" or "From Division" is associated with.
Default - If enabled for a Division, then that division will be automatically assigned to the "To Division" field when a supplier selects your company's name as a record's Customer. (This setting is used by companies that use an extensive division list internally, but don't need or want their suppliers to utilize most of these divisions.)
Internal Only - If enabled for a Division, then that division cannot be selected as a record's "To Division" by your suppliers (but can be selected on records created by your own company).
