Over-Inspect
The Over-Inspect section is used to provide inspection data pertaining to the parts to be shipped. This section of the Inspection Record (IR) is optional: it will only appear on the IR if enabled by the customer.
Adding and Removing Characteristics
The Customer can define the number of characteristics that must be inspected in the Over-Inspect section of the IR. In order to submit the IR, characteristic rows must be added until "(0 remaining)" is displayed at the top of the Over-Inspect table.
Net-Inspect will attempt to automatically provide characteristic data, randomly selected from all submitted FAIRs that match the IR's Part Number and Customer, including linked detail parts on Form 1 Fields 15-18. These features cannot be edited, but unsuitable features can be taken off of the list using the Remove button on the left side of each row.
Additional features can be added using the Add Characteristic button at the top of the Over-Inspect section. Characteristics that have been manually added in this way can be modified using an Edit button displayed on the far right side of the row.
Entering Measurement Values
The number of pieces that must be measured can be configured by the Customer, and may vary depending on the Lot Size entered in the Basic Info section of the IR. The IR cannot be submitted until all available measurement fields have been completed.
Configuration options are available to the Customer which, if enabled, require the Supplier to enter a Nonconformance Number for a characteristic if any measurement values are Out of Tolerance, or to upload a Mitigation Plan if any measurements are close to the tolerance limit. Additional settings determine whether, under these conditions, the IR is blocked after submission.
If a Nonconformance Number or Mitigation Plan must be provided for a characteristic, then an Edit button will become available on the right side of that row. Clicking this button will allow the user to enter or upload this information as necessary.
