KPC Certification Status

This is the default status, when KPC/KPCM Creator user starts a new form. |

At 90 days, if all necessary KPC Certification Conditions are met, Net-Inspect will update the status to “Certified” and the KPC Certification Status Update Date to the current date. |

At 90 days, if not all necessary KPC Certification Conditions are met, Net-Inspect will update the status to “Not-Certified” and the KPC Certification Status Update Date to the current date, and if this is a KPC1 or KPC2, Management Form will be required. |

If any of the conditions changes from met to unmet after the KPC Record is “Certified” at the 90th day, Net-Inspect updates its status from “Certified” to “Decertified” and the KPC Certification Status Update Date to the current date. The PO-Part Producer will have 90 days from the current date to recover the conditions. |
KPC Certification Conditions
Cpk/Cpl/Cpu >= 1.33, if feature is marked Variable on the Inspection Plan (Sample Size = 25)
DPPM <= 50,000, if feature is marked Attribute on the Inspection Plan
KPC Definition Section
Users from the customer company with the role KPC Creator or KPCM Creator is responsible for completing all fields within the KPC Definition Section of a KPC Record.
UNLOCK button - This is accessible to users from the customer company with the role KPC Admin. These users could unlock and modify the KPC Definition Section of a KPC record.
PO-Part Producer Section
Once a KPC Record is “Complete” by the KPC/KPCM Creator, and the customer sends a PO to a supplier, this supplier becomes the PO-Part Producer of the KPC. Now the KPC will become available to the supplier (PO-Part Producer) to perform updates to the PO-Part Producer Info Section, linking an IP-Feature to the KPC.
Measurement Results Section
This section is updated through Measurement Entry Processing in the Quality Management module. All the measurement data in this section is read-only and is not editable.
- If the identified KPC Producer for the KPC Record is “active” in Net-Inspect, the KPC Producer will be responsible for completing the IP Processing in Net-Inspect
- If the identified KPC Producer is “not active” in Net-Inspect, its PO-Part Producer will be responsible for gathering information and updating the measurement data for the KPC Producer through IP Processing in Net-Inspect
Milestones Section
This section allows the PO-Part Producer to enter required Milestone Results, and link FAIR.

If the KPC is a KPC1 or KPC2, Milestone 4 is required. PO-Part Producer is required to complete all 4 milestone checklists before the Milestone Complete Date. (Milestone Complete Date is 90 days after the FAIR form 1 field 21 signed date.)
If the KPC is identified as a KPCM, KPCM Creator will use the “Milestone Required Level” drop-down in the KPC definition Section to define a Milestone level for the KPC Record.
- If “Milestone 2” is selected, only M1 and M2 will be displayed and required.
- If “Milestone 3” is selected, M1, M2 and M3 will be displayed and required.
- If “Milestone 4” is selected, M1, M2, M3 and M4 will be displayed and required.
Management Form Section
If a KPC's Certification Status is “Decertified” or “Not Certified”, a yellow banner with a message “Management Form is required for this KPC” will be displayed in the Management Form Section on the KPC Record. Management Form is required for the KPC Record.
If Management Form is required for a KPC Record, an “Create a Management Form” button will be visible to the PO-Part Producer users on the KPC.
Users from the supplier company with the role PO-Part Producer are required to complete and submit a management form to the KPC customer.
Gage Suitability Package Section
If Gage Suitability Package is set to "Required" by the customer or the PO-Part Producer, a yellow banner with a message “Gage Suitability Package is required for this KPC” will be displayed in the Gage Suitability Package Section on the KPC Record.
Users from the supplier company with the role PO-Part Producer are required to complete and submit a management form to the KPC customer.
Milestone 2: Measurement System Analysis Completed checkbox on the KPC record will be disabled from editing until the Gage Suitability Package is approved by the customer.
