Form 3 Excel Template Guidelines
View how each field is mapped from your Excel template to Net-Inspect:
Excel Column: Field Number
Column B: Field 5: A Characteristic Number is Required to be entered
For Field 8: Enter Text, Specification & Requirements, or both.
Column G: Field 8: Description / Note text - Text: Enter the text of a drawing note, or optionally, a brief description of the feature
Column H: Field 8: Specification - This is where you enter your variable specifications. View Column U for acceptable tolerance format types. Here are some samples:

Column I: Field 8: GDT Callout - If you have the GDT Callout font installed on your computer, you can enter in GDT callout symbols. If you don't have this font and need a GDT symbol, please use the GDT Callout builder in Net-Inspect. To do this, upload your FAIR data first, then click on the GDT callout box for the characteristic in Net-Inspect
Column J: Field 8: Unit of Measurement. This is a free form text box for things like "mm" or "in"
Column K: Field 9: Follow the Results guide in column U:

Separate multiple results for a single characteristic with semicolons |
e.g., 0.019; 0.021; 0.020; 0.019 |
You may not enter a variable result with a value of "R3" (letters are not allowed), or "30,33" (do not use commas in the variable value, only use a decimal for the value and a semi-colon to separate multiple results)
