Machine Info

The "Machine Info" page is used to provide detailed information about a machine used at a facility.

Machine Name
Name of the machine. This is used to identify the machine through the Net-Inspect software. Often includes the machine's model number and other identifiers.

Machine Number
Identification number associated with a machine.

Machine Type
Category of machine. This can be used to group machines together on the View and Add Machines page and can be associated with a default set of preventative maintenance checks in the "Machines, Tools, Cells" section of the Company Setup page.

Model Number
Model of the machine.

Serial Number
Manufacturer (or internal) serial number corresponding with the machine.

Division
Facility or business unit where the machine is located.

Cell/Location
Name of the cell or group of machines that the machine belongs to, or a designation for the machine's locations. New cells/locations can be added through the in the "Machines, Tools, Cells" section of the Company Setup page.

Year of Manufacture (YYYY)
Year that the machine was originally manufactured.

Manufacturer
Name of the machine's manufacturer.

Remove Machine
Mark this option to hide the machine record. This prevents the machine from being associated with other data in Net-Inspect (such as recorded measurements on parts). Preventative maintenance activities also cannot be recorded for hidden machines.

Description
General information regarding the machine. This can be a physical description, or can provide other important details about the machine and its operation.
