Reuse Library: Setup Categories

Overview
The Reuse Library Categories admin page lets you manage categories for Reuse Library records in Net-Inspect. With this page, you can add, edit, or remove categories, control who can create new ones, and decide which categories appear in dropdowns. This guide covers how to access and use the page.
Accessing the Page
Go to Gear Icon >> Company Setup > PPAPD & Reuse Setup.

Note: You need the Reuse Library Admin role to access this page
Key Features
Restricting New Categories

A setting labeled Prevent users from adding new categories controls category creation.
Off (default): Any user can add new categories in Reuse Library records via dropdowns.
On: Only Reuse Library Admin users can add new categories. Users can select from the dropdown list on Reuse Library records.
Changes save automatically when you toggle this setting.
Managing Categories
The categories table helps you organize and control categories.

Add a Category:
Click Add to create a new row.
Enter a unique Category Name.
Check the boxes for Category 1–5 to determine where the category appears in record dropdowns.
Click the Check Mark to save.

Edit a Category:
Click the Pencil icon next to a category.
Update the name or adjust the Category 1–5 checkboxes.
Save with the Check Mark. Changes apply to the dropdown entries but not the selection on the records itself.

Delete a Category:
Click the Trash icon to delete.
Deleted categories move to the Show Removed view (toggle the checkbox to see them).
They no longer appear in dropdowns but remain on existing records until updated.
Discard Changes: Click Void to cancel unsaved edits.
View Removed Categories: Check Show Removed to see deleted categories. They’re view-only until restored.
Tips for Use
Role Check: Only Reuse Library Admin users can manage categories or add new ones when restrictions are enabled. Ensure your account has this role in User Management.
Subscription: Without the PPAP Deliverables add-on, you’ll see an access error. Contact sales@net-inspect.com to upgrade.
Updates: Changing or deleting a category updates dropdowns instantly, but existing records keep old values until edited.
