FAIR Updates
Below is a summary of FAI Enhancements Planned for November 2024
Form 1:
Improved Error Messaging
If a user tries to save with missing information in Form 1, the screen will center the user on the field requiring input, example below.
Ability to Reorder the Part Number Index
Users will be able to select one or more rows and insert the selected rows above or below an existing row, example below.
Users select the rows they wish to move, and right click on the row they wish to move the selected rows above or below.
After selecting “Move Selected Row(s) Above” the rows are inserted above above Part 1007. Result below.
Ability to Sort and Search Items within the Part Number Index
Users can now search for items within the Part Number Index using the search field in the upper right corner.
Ability to View the Buyoff Status of Linked FAIRs
Net-Inspect now displays the buy-off status of all hyperlinked FAIRs.
Form 2:
Ability to Drag and Rearrange Rows Vertically
Users can now hold their cursor down on the left portion of a row and drag and drop rows to reorder rows on Form 2.
Form 3:
Ability to Input Specifications in Description Field to Prefill Requirements
Users can now type a specification format [ e.g: (10 +/- 0.5) ] in the description and the grid will automatically fill the specification column with the values. GDT callout is not automatically added.(limitation)
- Users can copy and paste a specification cell to another specification cell. GDT Callout is excluded (limitation).
- The paste feature for specification cell accepts text value like so: (10 +/- 0.5). This means user can copy an Excel value and paste it in the specification cell.
In Addition, whenever a user copies a specification cell, the pasted value is also a text value like so: (10 +/- 0.5).
New Context Menu Capabilities
Users can now right-click within Form 3 to add/copy new rows and delete rows as needed.
Ability to View All Characteristics in One View (Infinite Scroll)
Ability to Filter Form 3 Columns
Users can now filter on Form 3 column headers and search the contents of each column.
The “Additional Comments” Field Is Now Displayed Within Its Own Column
This update allows for easier editing and better aligns with the AS9102 Standard.
The “Bubble Number” Field is Now Found within Field 5, Char. Number
This update allows for improved visibility and more efficient updates.
The “Unit” Field is Now Displayed within Its Own Column
The Unit field which was previously located inside the Requirement column has been moved to its own column called Unit. It is located next Requirement column.
