PPAP Deliverables: Linking a deliverable to an APQP/PPAP Package item
PPAP Deliverables can be linked to specific items in an APQP/PPAP checklist.
How to Link PPAPD to APQP Item
The checklist template used on the package must designate the item as a PPAPD online form type of either PFD, PFMEA, or CP. This is set by your customer or if an internal package, by your Net-Inspect Admin.
If a PPAPD is already made for this part number, you can select the drop down to search.
The drop down's pre-filter according to the package's part number so this is an easy way to check if one already exists. Otherwise, verify on the PPAPD list page. The drop downs contain the PPAPD record number, part number on the record, part rev, release stage, and status (in that order).
The drop downs automatically search by part number but they can also search by PPAPD record number by entering the "#" symbol first then typing the number.
If a PPAPD does not exist for this part number, select the "Initiate" button.
This will redirect you to the PPAPD create page. Any applicable information already entered on the APQP/PPAP package info tab will automatically pull over. The page can toggle between "New" and "Import" without losing information.
IMPORTANT NOTE. Once you initiate one deliverable, the other deliverables are also initiated! Please link these deliverables on their applicable items in the APQP/PPAP package rather than initiating again. We do not automatically do this for you. PPAPD has integrated linkage which is designed to reduce the amount of effort you spend generating or updating these deliverables.
