APQP/PPAP: Project
Customers can enable "Projects" to coordinate their APQP/PPAP packages with their internal ERP/PLM systems in conjunction with part number, purchase order number, etc.
To enable projects, navigate to Company Setup > APQP Setup tab > Projects.
- Check the box to enable the project
- A table will appear. Select "+ ADD" to open a new row
- Enter the project name and whether the project is active
- Click the blue checkbox to confirm changes or the cancel button to discard
How project works:
- Active projects are selectable on an APQP/PPAP package
- Once a project becomes inactive, it can no longer be added to new packages but is never removed from previously associated package.
- Once a project becomes inactive, it can no longer be added to new packages but is never removed from previously associated package.
- Project active status can be edited at any time, and the changes will be reflected on the drop down of APQP/PPAP packages
- Projects are visible only to the associated company
- i.e., if a project is selected on an APQP/PPAP package, the supplier cannot view it.
- Project names can be edited at any time, and the changes will be reflected on APQP/PPAP packages
- Projects can be deleted only if they are not listed on any APQP/PPAP packages
- Projects can be exported to an excel file
