Import Parts via Excel Template
In Quality Management > Part & Feature Setup > Add New Part > Import, you have the ability to add new part record or update existing part records.
Field Guides at bottom, video guide here.
EXCEL Template Guidelines:
1. If you are only updating items in one or some of the sheets (like only adding programs to existing parts), do not delete other sheets, leave them blank.
2. Bold fields are required if entering data on any sheet.
3. Selecting the Overwrite Existing Data option will Delete the current alignments that are listed for that item and add the new alignments from the template
For example, if you upload a template with a division of "Los Angeles, California" for "detail part 1" AND check the Overwrite option, but leave other sheets blank, it would update the below by removing only the San Jose, California division and adding the Los Angeles, California division. It would not change programs, jurisdictions, classifications, or product types because those sheets are left blank in the template.
